Kegiatan Publication for Zonation and EEWS Study 2023 oleh Tim InaEEWS BMKG di Jurusan Fisika FMIPA Universitas Cenderawasih
Universitas Cenderawsih mendapat kunjungan dari Tim InaEEWS BMKG Jakarta dalam kegiatan Publication for Zonation and EEWS Study 2023-2024. Tim InaEEWS BMKG terdiri atas Rika Swastikarani, S.Si. (koordinator Sub Bidang Diseminasi EEWS), Rian Pratama, S.Tr., dan Septian Farandi angesthi, S.Tr. Geof (anggota Sub Bidang Sistem dan Jaringan EEWS). Selain itu, dihadiri juga perwakilan UPT BMKG Jayapura yaitu Muhammad Syawal, S.Si., dari Stasiun Geofisika Klas 1 Jayapura. Pihak Universitas Cenderawasih diwakili oleh Jurusan Fisika sebagai unit yang paling terkait dan sesuai dengan kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 2 hari yaitu dari tanggal 23 – 24 November 2023 dengan format yaitu hari pertama berupa pemaparan materi dan diskusi dan hari kedua adalah kunjungan ke lokasi instalasi accelograph yang ada di sekitar Kota Jayapura.
Kegiatan hari pertama, Kamis, 23 November 2023 bertempat di gedung Jurusan Fisika FMIPA UNCEN, dilaksanakan pertemuan diseminasi dengan audiensi adalah dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa. Pada kesempatan ini juga dihadiri Pimpinan Jurusan Fisika yaitu Ketua Jurusan Fisika (Steven Y.Y. Mantiri, S.Si.,M.Sc.), Sekretaris Jurusan Fisika (Kezia N. Anou, S.Si.,M.Sc.). Pada kegiatan hari pertama ini dilakukan pemparan materi oleh Tim InaEEWS tentang EEWS Study, Empirical Formula : GMPEs, GMICEs, Lokasi Riset : Papua dan Papua Barat. Dalam pemaparannya, Rika Swastikarani, S.Si. sebagai pimpinan tim menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan EEWS Study ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh masukkan dan dukungan dari setiap perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, dalam hal ini Universitas Cenderawasih sebagai perwakilan perguruan tinggi untuk wilayah Papua dan Papua Barat. Dalam penyampaian materi oleh Tim InaEEWS ini bahwa tujuan EEWS Study ini yaitu terjalinnya kerjasama dan kolaborasi antara BMKG dengan Akademisi (Perguruan Tinggi), menghasilkan rumusan empiris GMPEs (Ground Motion Prediction Equations) yang sesuai dengan karakteristik daerah masing-masing, menghasilkan rumusan empiris GMICEs (Ground Motion to Intensity Conversion Equations), meningkatkan performa penyampaian informasi EEWS yang lebih baik. Setelah pemaparan materi, terjalin diskusi yang menarik dan mendapat masukkan cukup banyak dari Dosen-dosen Jurusan Fisika. Kegiatan di hari pertama diakhiri dengan foto bersama.
Kegiatan hari kedua, Jumat, 24 November 2023, dilaksanakan kunjungan di lokasi instalasi accelerograph yang ada di Kota Jayapura. Data-data yang diperlukan dalam perumusan GMPEs (Ground Motion Prediction Equations) dan GMICEs (Ground Motion to Intensity Conversion Equations) diunduh dari sistem peralatan accelerograph yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Papua dan Papua Barat. Pada kegiatan di hari kedua ini yaitu dilakukan kunjungan di 2 lokasi sebagai perwakilan yaitu di Stasiun Meteorologi Klas 1 Jayapura, yang berlokasi di sekitar Bandar Udara Sentani, Kabupaten Jayapura. Lokasi yang kedua yaitu di Stasiun Geofisika Klas 1 Jayapura, yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Angkasapura, Distrik Jayapura Utara, Kota Jayapura. Pada kunjungan ini Tim InaEEWS maupun Pimpinan dan Staf kedua stasiun UPT BMKG memberikan penjelasan kepada Tim Perwakilah Universitas Cenderawasih tentang sistem dan alur kerja jaringan Accelerograph dan tata kelola jaringan yang ada di Papua dan Papua Barat. Kegiatan di hari kedua diakhiri dengan makan bersama Tim InaEEWS dan Perwakilan Universitas Cenderawasih di sebuah rumah makan yang ada di sekitar RUKO Pasifik Permai Dok II, Kota Jayapura.
