Kungjungan Siswa/Siswi SMA YPPDK Gabungan Jayapura Di Program Studi dan Laboratorium Geofisika FMIPA UNCEN
Jayapura – Program Studi Teknik Geofisika dan Laboratorium Geofisika Eksplorasi mendapatkan kunjungan dari Siswa/i dan Guru-guru SMA YPPDK Gabungan Jayapura. Kunjungan tersebut pada hari Jumat, 15 September 2023 pukul 14.00 – 16.30 WIT. Kunjungan tersebut merupakan bagian dari bentuk kurikulum merdeka belajar pada jenjang pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Atas. Jumlah peserta kunjungan berjumlah 6 orang yang terdiri atas 4 orang siswa dan 2 orang guru. Pimpinan rombongan adalah Ibu Fransisca Pasulu, S.Pd., yang mana beliau merupakan alumni Universitas Cenderawasih lulusan Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Fisika yang lulus tahun 2005 dan merupakan guru Fisika pada Sekolah Menengah Atas tersebut. Pada kunjungan tersebut, diawali dengan perkenalan singkat tentang Program Studi S1 Teknik Geofisika oleh Ketua Program Studi S1 Teknik Geofisika, Dr. Noper Tulak, S.Si.,M.Si. Selanjutnya kunjungan dilanjutkan pada Laboratorium Geofisika Eksplorasi. Di Laboratorium Geofisika Eksplorasi, penjelasan tentang peralatan laboratorium dipimpin oleh Ketua Jurusan Fisika, Steven Y.Y. Mantiri, S.Si.,M.Sc., dibantu oleh PLT. Ketua Laboratorium Geofisika Eksplorasi, Ego Srivajawaty Sinaga, S.Pd.,M.Sc. dan beberpa Dosen Jurusan Fisika yaitu Hubertus Ngaderman, S.Si.,M.Si., Kezia N. Anou, S.Si.,M.Si., dan Truly Theresia Saputrina, S.Si.,M.Si. Selain itu, ada beberapa mahasiswa Geofisika juga yang membantu pada kegiatan ini yaitu Harold Tapatkeding, Alex Auparai, Abdul Rofiq dan Andrew Worembai. Pada kunjungan ini para siswa dan guru-guru begitu antusias mendengarkan dan menyimak penjelasan-penjelasan terkait dengan peralatan geofisika eksplorasi dari Ketua Jurusan Fisika. Alat-alat yang diperkenalkan pada kunjungan ini antara lain: Geolistrik Resistivity Meter IRES t300f, Electrical Well Logging, Anemometer AM-4201, Sound Level Meter dan Alat Sampling Sedimen. Pada kunjungan ini juga dilakukan praktek pengambilan data menggunakan alat geolistrik resisitivity meter IRES t300f dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan terkait teknik perhitungan dan tata cara singkat untuk memperoleh hasil analisis lapisan tanah hasil pengukuran. Kunjungan ini begitu singkat sehingga tidak dimungkinkan waktu untuk berkunjung ke laboratorium lain, namun pihak Jurusan Fisika menawarkan untuk berkunjungan kembali di lain waktu untuk berkunjung ke laboratorium baik yang ada di Jurusan Fisika maupun yang ada di Fakultas MIPA.
